Warehouse removals — frequently asked questions
How much do warehouse removals cost?
Warehouse removalist costs depend on pallet count, racking type, distance and whether the move is staged. A 500m² e-commerce warehouse move typically runs $8,000-$20,000 including racking dismantle and reassembly. A 2,000m² DC relocation is $25,000-$65,000. Every quote is fixed price after on-site survey — all inclusive, no fuel levy.
Can you handle a staged warehouse move that keeps operations running?
Yes — staged warehouse relocations are our standard for operational distribution centres. Section by section or shift by shift, we work around your fulfilment schedule so orders keep shipping through the transition.
Do you dismantle and reassemble warehouse racking?
Yes. Colby, Dexion, Schaefer, Selective, drive-in and cantilever racking systems are all standard for our warehouse removals. If it's unusual, share the manufacturer info at booking and we'll plan for it.
Do you have forklifts for warehouse relocations?
Yes. We work forklift-friendly and can bring a licensed operator and forklift for a small day rate if needed, otherwise your on-site forklift is fine. Standard, reach and high-lift forklifts available.
What areas do you cover for warehouse removalists?
Warehouse removals across every industrial precinct in Melbourne (Braeside, Dandenong, Tullamarine, Laverton, Somerton, Campbellfield) and Sydney (Alexandria, Botany, Homebush, Silverwater, Rosehill, Prestons, Eastern Creek). Interstate warehouse consolidations from either city.
Can you handle interstate warehouse consolidations and DC relocations?
Yes. Melbourne–Sydney is our most common interstate warehouse consolidation, with regular runs on the Hume. Sydney–Brisbane and long-haul routes to Adelaide, Perth and Darwin are all handled. Consolidations across state lines are quoted per-project with fixed pricing.
Do you provide insurance certificates for warehouse relocations?
Yes. Public liability and goods-in-transit insurance certificates of currency are issued on request. Most commercial and industrial warehouse contracts require them, and we're familiar with the paperwork and cover levels expected.
How much notice do you need for a warehouse move?
Small warehouse relocations (200-500m²) can usually be booked within 2-3 weeks. Mid-size DC moves (1,000-2,000m²) need 4-6 weeks lead time. Large distribution-centre consolidations — 6-8 weeks minimum to properly spec the crew, truck fleet and staging plan.
Are you AFRA accredited?
Yes. Easy Peasy Removals is accredited by the Australian Furniture Removers Association — the industry's professional standard. AFRA members are audited on training, equipment, insurance and practice. You can verify our membership at afra.com.au.
What insurance is included?
Every move includes public liability and goods-in-transit insurance covering damage or loss during transport. For items of exceptional value we can arrange additional coverage — mention them when you enquire.
Do you provide boxes and packing materials?
Yes. Quality moving boxes, tape, bubble wrap and protective materials delivered before your move. You can also add a full packing service so our team does the wrapping and boxing.
Do you move oversized or specialist items?
We move pool tables, home gyms, oversized furniture, garage workshops and most heavy household items. For concert-grade pianos, fine art or wine collections, tell us at enquiry so we can recommend the right transport method.
