Getting the container onto the property is the hard part
Sydney is the most difficult city in Australia for portable storage placement, and it is worth understanding why before you book.
Much of the eastern suburbs and inner city has no off-street parking at all, which means kerbside placement, a council permit, and a container occupying a resident parking space for the duration. Councils differ substantially on how long they will allow that.
Strata schemes are the second constraint. A container standing on common property almost always needs owners corporation approval, and many schemes simply refuse. Where they allow it, they usually want a Certificate of Currency and sometimes a bond.
Third, the physical access. Steep harbourside driveways through Mosman, Vaucluse, the Shire and the northern beaches frequently cannot take a delivery truck with a container on it at all.
We will tell you honestly at quote stage if we think placement is going to be the problem rather than the loading. Sometimes a conventional removal into storage is simply the better answer.

From $160/hr for two removalists, 2-hour minimum, then billed by the minute. A one to two-bedroom container typically takes two to four hours; a three-bedroom four to six. Walk-up buildings and long kerbside carries add time, so tell us where the container will actually sit.
Will my strata allow a container on the property?
Many Sydney schemes will not allow one on common property, and those that do usually require owners corporation approval plus a Certificate of Currency. Ask your strata manager in writing before you book a container delivery — it is the single most common reason these bookings fall over.
Do I need a council permit for a container on a Sydney street?
Almost always, if it occupies a road or footpath. Councils vary widely in duration limits and fees, and some inner-city councils are restrictive. Your container provider will normally advise on the application.
What if a container cannot be delivered to my address?
It happens often in Sydney, particularly on steep harbourside driveways and narrow inner-city streets. In that case a conventional removal into storage is usually simpler and no more expensive. We will tell you which we think is right when we quote.

Yes. Quality moving boxes, tape, bubble wrap and protective materials delivered before your move. You can also add a full packing service so our team does the wrapping and boxing.
Do you move oversized or specialist items?
We move pool tables, home gyms, oversized furniture, garage workshops and most heavy household items. For concert-grade pianos, fine art or wine collections, tell us at enquiry so we can recommend the right transport method.
