Man with a van Sydney
Single items, studio flats, marketplace pickups and storage runs across Sydney. A van gets into streets a truck cannot — which in this city matters more than anywhere else.
In Sydney, a van is often the only vehicle that fits
Potts Point, Kings Cross, Darlinghurst, Balmain East, Erskineville, Forest Lodge — streets where a truck cannot legally stop, and where a works zone permit for a small job costs more than the move itself.
A van solves that. It parks where a truck cannot, it turns in laneways, and for a studio or a single item it does the whole job in one trip. On the inner-city and eastern-suburbs streets that dominate Sydney rental stock, it is frequently the right answer rather than the cheap answer.
Common Sydney van work: studio and one-bedroom moves through the east and inner city; marketplace and auction pickups; storage runs; university moves around Kensington, Camperdown, Ultimo and Chippendale at semester change; and single heavy items in and out of walk-up blocks with no lift.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a man with a van in Sydney?
Priced on the job rather than a full-crew hourly minimum, so a single item across a few suburbs costs far less than a standard removal. Distance from our Double Bay office affects small jobs more than large ones. Use the Instant Quote calculator or call 0431 747 411.
Can a van park on a narrow inner-city Sydney street?
That is exactly why we use one. Potts Point, Darlinghurst, Balmain East and similar streets often have no legal stopping for a truck at all. A van parks where a truck cannot, which on a small job saves both the carry distance and the cost of a works zone permit.
Do you move single items up stairs in a walk-up?
Yes, and we send two people where the item genuinely needs it. Much of the eastern suburbs and inner city is walk-up stock with no lift, so tell us the number of flights when you book and we will crew it properly.
Do you do university moves in Sydney?
Regularly — around Kensington and UNSW, Camperdown and the University of Sydney, and the UTS precinct at Ultimo and Chippendale. Semester changeover weeks book out fast, so plan ahead.
Are you AFRA accredited?
Yes. Easy Peasy Removals is accredited by the Australian Furniture Removers Association — the industry's professional standard. AFRA members are audited on training, equipment, insurance and practice. You can verify our membership at afra.com.au.
What insurance is included?
Every move includes public liability and goods-in-transit insurance covering damage or loss during transport. For items of exceptional value we can arrange additional coverage — mention them when you enquire.
Do you provide boxes and packing materials?
Yes. Quality moving boxes, tape, bubble wrap and protective materials delivered before your move. You can also add a full packing service so our team does the wrapping and boxing.
Do you move oversized or specialist items?
We move pool tables, home gyms, oversized furniture, garage workshops and most heavy household items. For concert-grade pianos, fine art or wine collections, tell us at enquiry so we can recommend the right transport method.
