A two-person crew is charged by the hour, and the clock includes getting the truck to you. That makes depot proximity one of the biggest levers on what a Melbourne move actually costs — bigger, often, than an extra bedroom of furniture.
We run four Melbourne bases for exactly that reason. Cheltenham covers the south-east and Bayside and houses our storage facility. Prahran covers the inner south and the Chapel Street corridor. Sandringham and St Kilda West keep the bay-facing suburbs short.
The practical effect: a Bentleigh East or Hampton move carries almost no travel leg, while a Craigieburn or Point Cook job carries a real one. We show you which before you book instead of averaging it into a single rate that quietly overcharges half our customers.

How much is two men and a truck in Melbourne?
From $160/hr for a 2T van or $180/hr for a 4T truck and two removalists, 2-hour minimum, then billed by the minute. Travel from your nearest of our four Melbourne depots is included in the estimate you see before booking. Larger trucks up to 12T and three-person crews are priced separately.
Which Melbourne areas do you cover?
All of metropolitan Melbourne, from the western growth corridor through to the outer east and down the bay. We also cover the Geelong corridor and run interstate routes to Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra.
Can I book two removalists for a weekend move?
Yes. Weekend slots book out faster than weekdays, so aim for two to three weeks ahead in peak periods. Weekend and public holiday surcharges, where they apply, are shown on your estimate before you commit.
Do you charge for stairs or long carries in Melbourne?
No separate surcharge — but stairs and long carries take longer, and we bill by the hour. That is why the estimate asks about levels, lift access and how far the truck can park from the door. Answer those honestly and the estimate will be close.
Are you AFRA accredited?

What insurance is included?
Every move includes public liability and goods-in-transit insurance covering damage or loss during transport. For items of exceptional value we can arrange additional coverage — mention them when you enquire.
Do you provide boxes and packing materials?
Yes. Quality moving boxes, tape, bubble wrap and protective materials delivered before your move. You can also add a full packing service so our team does the wrapping and boxing.
Do you move oversized or specialist items?
We move pool tables, home gyms, oversized furniture, garage workshops and most heavy household items. For concert-grade pianos, fine art or wine collections, tell us at enquiry so we can recommend the right transport method.
