Single item transport
A couch, fridge, washing machine, bed, piano or wardrobe. One item, one trip, priced accordingly.
A single item, a studio flat, a marketplace pickup or a storage run. Small jobs, done by an insured, AFRA-accredited company rather than whoever answered the ad first.
Plenty of jobs genuinely do not warrant a full crew. A fridge from a marketplace seller. A bed frame across town. A studio flat where everything fits in one load. A run to or from a storage unit. Booking a 10-tonne truck and three removalists for any of those is money wasted.
The trouble with the usual man-with-a-van option is that you are trusting an individual with no insurance, no accountability and no recourse if your dining table arrives with a leg through the top. It is fine right up until it is not.
We run smaller vehicles and single-operator or two-person jobs through the same business, the same insurance and the same AFRA accreditation as our full removals. You get the price point of a small job with the protection of a real company behind it.
If the job turns out to be bigger than a van, we will tell you at quote stage and price the alternative — rather than arriving, discovering it does not fit, and charging you for a wasted trip.

Where the whole home genuinely fits in one van load. Common for students and first rentals.
You bought it, we collect it. Give us the seller address and a pickup window.
Into or out of a storage unit, including our own Cheltenham facility. Loading and stacking included.
The things that did not fit in the car after the main move, or a partial clear-out.
Retail deliveries, styling pieces in and out, and single-room refits.
The honest answer depends on volume and access. Here is roughly where the line sits.
| Your job | Van is right | Truck and crew is right |
|---|---|---|
| One or two large items | Yes — fastest and cheapest option | Overkill |
| Studio flat, minimal furniture | Usually, in one or two loads | If there are stairs and no lift |
| One-bedroom flat | Borderline — depends on how much you own | Safer if you have a full kitchen and a wardrobe |
| Two or more bedrooms | No — multiple loads cost more than one truck | Yes |
| Heavy items, no lift | Only with a second person | Yes — two people minimum for safety |
| Fragile or high-value pieces | Fine, fully blanket-wrapped | Yes, if there are several |
Tell us the item or the address and we will tell you honestly whether a van or a truck is the better value.
Small jobs are priced on what is actually being moved rather than a flat hourly crew rate, so a single item across town costs a fraction of a full removal. Run the details through the Instant Quote calculator, or call 0431 747 411 and we will price it over the phone.
For a ground-floor to ground-floor move with trolley access, often yes. Where there are stairs, no lift, or a genuinely heavy item like a full-size fridge or a piano, we send two people — it is a safety requirement, not an upsell.
Yes. Small van jobs carry the same public liability and goods in transit cover as our full removals, and are handled by the same AFRA-accredited business. We will provide documentation on request.
Yes — marketplace, auction and retail pickups are among the most common jobs we do in a van. Give us the seller address, a contact number and a pickup window, and we will collect and deliver.
We work that out at quote stage rather than on the day. If the volume is genuinely beyond a van, we will say so and price a small truck instead — which is usually cheaper than two van trips anyway.
Yes. Easy Peasy Removals is accredited by the Australian Furniture Removers Association — the industry's professional standard. AFRA members are audited on training, equipment, insurance and practice. You can verify our membership at afra.com.au.
Every move includes public liability and goods-in-transit insurance covering damage or loss during transport. For items of exceptional value we can arrange additional coverage — mention them when you enquire.
Yes. Quality moving boxes, tape, bubble wrap and protective materials delivered before your move. You can also add a full packing service so our team does the wrapping and boxing.
We move pool tables, home gyms, oversized furniture, garage workshops and most heavy household items. For concert-grade pianos, fine art or wine collections, tell us at enquiry so we can recommend the right transport method.

JP and Chris were very friendly, polite, respectful of our house and did an amazing job. I don’t know how they fit everything into one truck in one go! We’d 100% recommend them. Thanks guys :)
